On the afternoon of April 13, Shandong Xiehe University (SXU) and Kazan State Power Engineering University (KSPEU) convened a virtual cooperation exchange meeting. Representing KSPEU were Vice-Rector Римма Валентиновна, Head of the International Department Мария Эдуардовна, Dean of the Russian-Chinese Development Institute Дени Цинь, and other department heads. From SXU, Vice President Hu Hengji, Dean of the School of Computer Science Wang Chunmei, Director of the International Office Zhou Guangtao, Deputy Director of the International Office Niu Yue, and relevant school leaders attended the meeting.

      During the meeting, Vice President Hu Hengji recalled the previous friendly visit in October 2025 by KSPEU’s Rector, Professor Aбдуллазянов Эдвард Юнусович, and his delegation to SXU. He introduced the university’s educational characteristics, disciplinary development, international collaboration efforts, and achievements in talent cultivation, and expressed a strong aspiration to deepen pragmatic cooperation and expand channels for international education.

      Vice-Rector Римма Валентиновна of KSPEU highly commended SXU’s institutional strength and internationalization accomplishments. She provided a detailed overview of her university’s history, academic strengths, research priorities, and global engagement activities, and conveyed an eagerness to establish regular and substantive cooperation across multiple domains. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions and confirmed their commitment to advancing faculty exchanges, short-term student mobility programs, curriculum development, academic collaboration, and joint education initiatives. Concrete steps will be taken to promote the sharing of high-quality educational resources and support the cultivation of globally competent talent.

      This virtual meeting represents another significant milestone following last year’s in-person exchange, further solidifying the foundation for collaboration and reinforcing shared goals. Moving forward, SXU will seize this opportunity to deepen its comprehensive partnership with KSPEU, continuously broaden international exchange pathways, enhance the level of internationalized education, and strive to nurture more high-quality applied professionals with a global outlook.
