Shandong Xiehe University and Yeungnam University in South Korea successfully conducted an online meeting on December 4, 2024. The attendees included, from Yeungnam University, Son Sang Bum, Vice President for International Affairs; Kim Young Jae, Associate Vice-President for International Affairs; Lee WonYoung, Head of International Cooperation Team; Li Jian, Program Officer; and from Shandong Xiehe University, the Director of International Office, Charlie, the vice Director of International Office, Betty, and assistants Anna, Alice and Evan from the International Office. 

    The meeting began with introductions of each university's overview, followed by negotiations on cooperation. Key topics included student exchanges, academic recognition, short-term training (including cultural experiences), faculty visits, and academic exchanges. The aim was to deepen educational cooperation, diversify international educational resources and opportunities for both universities' faculty and students, and elevate their international education efforts.

    This successful online meeting invigorated Shandong Xiehe University and Yeungnam University's partnership. Both sides will uphold openness, inclusivity, and win-win cooperation, collaborate on education internationalization, cultivate globally competitive talents, and foster China-South Korea educational and cultural exchanges.

    Founded in 1947 by former South Korea President Park Chung-hee, Yeungnam University is located in Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-Do.
