On June 24, Dr. J. Peter Senkbeil led the delegation to visit Shandong Xiehe University. Vice president Li Jian and Hu Heng-ki met with the delegation. The deans from Academic Administration, International Office, Medical School and the School of Humanity and Arts attended the meeting.
Vice President Li Jian introduced the advantages and foreign exchange of SXH to the visiting team from Concord University (Irvine), and he pointed out that SXU attaches great importance to international academic exchanges and cooperation, and expressed his wishes that the two sides can join forces to carry out friendly cooperation for development, such as rehabilitation treatment and preschool education. Dr. Peter Senkbeil, vice president, introduced the discipline setting and advantageous majors of Concord University (Irvine) and hoped that the scholars of the two universities would continue to enhance mutual understanding, expand the fields of exchange, strengthen the exchanges for teachers and students, and jointly cultivate interdisciplinary talents for the common interest to both sides.
The two universities jointly signed a memorandum of friendship and cooperation. In the next step, it is expected to carry out friendly visits of university leaders, scientific research, academic exchanges and mutual visits, and send teachers and students to each other university for short-term and long-term exchanges. Then the feasibility and details of the joint training of rehabilitation treatment and preschool education were discussed.
After the meeting, Dr. Peter Senkbeil and his delegation visited the medical experimental center and spoke highly of the laboratory construction of SXU. They praised that the the laboratory is developed in high level with advanced equipments, standardized management, strong practicality and high comprehensiveness.
